Jim Lane
Jim Lane was born in Uvalde, Texas and has lived in Fort Worth
for more than 45 years. He was educated in Fort Worth public schools, earned a
Bachelor of Arts degree from Texas Christian University and a Doctor of
Jurisprudence from Baylor University. He is a Fort Worth attorney and is serving his fifth (5th) term on
the Fort Worth City Council. Of
American Indian heritage, Jim Lane is an advocate of keeping the culture and
history of Native America and western culture alive. He has been proactive in this effort through his work at the
American Indian Chamber of Commerce of Texas and serving on the committee of
the Fort Worth Stockyards Improvement Authority, Inc. Lane is also active in participating with programs that promote
education for youth of various cultures and origins.
